Coach: Danny Hay
Coach Danny Hay is the coach for The All Whites. He has been managing this side since 2015. He was the coach during the last FIFA U17 World Cup Chile where the team performed brilliantly well. All whites were ousted from the round of 16 by Brazil. During his playing days, his prominent stint was with famous English side Leeds United from 1999-02. Hay represented the All Whites National Team un 31 Matches as a central defender and his first coaching assignment was the New Zealand U-17 Team.
PAST RECORDS AND LAURELS
This is the 8th time that NEW ZEALAND will participate in the FIFA U-17 WC. They made their debt in 1997, simultaneously hosting the World Cup. In 2009, an All Whites side reached the knockout phase of a FIFA competition. They repeated the feat in 2011 World Cup and in the last edition in Chile. In 2015 they were knocked out by Brazil from the rounds of 16.

New Zealand is a 7-time winner of OFC CHampionship. They had won the championship for the first time in 997. After Australia’s departure from the OFC, the CHampionship has been thoroughly dominated by the All Whites. From 2007 to 2017, they have won the competition six consecutive times.
CHARLES SPRAGG is one of the most important players in the U-17 NZ National Team. He made himself remarkable on the event of the debut to New Zealand U-17 Team. In the same match New Zealand score 11-0 against Samoa, Spragg netted four of eleven. Total count of the Spragg’s goals was Seven in the whole tournament.

ROAD TO U-17 WORLD CUP
New Zealand’s 6th consecutive win in OFC Championship opened their door to FIFA U-17 WC 2017. The All Whites won all the matches they played. They were placed in Group B with Solomon Islands, Fiji and Co-hosts Samoa.

Even after securing points from the group stage they had to face a stiff challenge Papua New Guinea. They procured a hard fought 2-1 victory in the semis and reached the final where it was an easy win.
PREPARATIONS AHEAD OF THE FIFAU17WC
Since New Zealand U-17 National Team won the OFC Championship this year, It was an easy go for them. SInce that competition, they have not played any competitive match. “The team is yet to face a quality opposition ahead of the World,” said Danny Hay. They had training in Auckland City in July.

Danny was also present at the time of World Cup Draw. At the ceremony, he also booted the enthusiasm of the New Zealand Nationa U-17 Team. Danny also said, “these sort of opportunities are few and far between for young New Zealand players. We have a high chance of clinching the upcoming FIFA U17 WC.
